A Voice
First off, it was very cool that Val and I sent each other private messages all day yesterday. It usually takes him a few days to respond(once it took him a month lol but that’s another story). Val Emmich confirmed that the video I found for “A Voice” (Slow Down Kid album) is unofficial(which I figured). At first he didn’t know what I was talking about and I suggested that maybe he slept walk through the whole thing when it was filmed. Anyway, he filmed it as a favor for a friend. And it is something he does not want publicized. I am respecting Val’s opinion on the video and I will not be posting it in the fan site. Sorry guys! However, only a handful of screen captures will make it.

Val Emmich on Third Watch
I watched Val Emmich’s appearance on Third Watch a few weeks ago on youtube. Quality was okay. The shots were at night so it was dark. Anyway, I never caught the ending because I thought Val’s scenes were done with but I was wrong. I rented the season and watched it again including the end. And wow, what an impact on the show. Big difference what one scene can make. It definitely put the whole storyline together. I didn’t watch the show when it aired but this episode was very memorable and dramatic. I uploaded a clip in my youtube channel. Here’s one clip. There will be more at ValEmmichFans.com
Here’s the synopsis:
The deaths of four teenagers in a fiery car crash profoundly affects the third watch, who were forced to stand by helplessly, unable to save the victims. They congregate at the end of the shift to dispell their sadness and anger at the horrific images of the crash. Faith, Sully and Doc spend time sitting quietly in a cafe; Ty, Bobby, Carlos and Alex go to a bar; and Kim, Bosco and Jimmy go bowling. As evening turns into day, Faith’s group meets up with a young woman, Ty’s group meets up with a young man, and Kim’s group meets up with a young couple in love. At dawn, everyone ends up at the a beach and they build a bonfire. As the flames flicker, we see a flashback to the moments immediately preceding the car crash and discover that the young people whom they met during the course of the evening are the spirits of the teenagers who died in the crash, who were sent back down to earth to tell them that the crash could not have been prevented, and they are not to blame for being unable to save them.

Val Emmich and Becki Newton
Yesterday, the complete season 3 of Ugly Betty was released. Of course, I have it. There are commentaries from the writers of Ugly Betty throughout the "Crush'd" episode. All very interesting and amusing. They mentioned that America's eyes lit up when she did the audition reading with Val. The writers said that Val came into the set of Crush'd with a crew of PR backing him up. They also raved about Little Daggers and how they are not sick of Get On With It even after listening to the song 40 times taping that roof top party scene. They hear Get On With It everywhere they go now. It was all so adorable. Little fun fact: Val read through the script, and saw that his character Jesse will sing a song to Betty. There was no song planned out, but only a title "Snow Day". He approached the writers and said he's a musician and that he can write the song. They gave the nod and "Snowy Day" was written. The performance on the show also gave the Rescue Effort an opportunity to play as Dark Sexual Journey".

Val Emmich on Hope & Faith
Aww. Look at his little belly.
Val Emmich’s appearance on Hope & Faith back in 2003. I watched this episode for the first time a few months ago. Actually, I watched this the same day I saw Val in NYC@ The Canal Room (which by the way, the same day I bumped into Edward Norton and told Eric Micali, Val’s drummer, all about it because Eric was the first person I saw after spotting Mr.Norton). It’s been a long time since I had a belly-rumbling-cheeks-hurting laugh and it was all due to Mr.Emmich’s performance in this episode. A clip will be available soon along with screencaptures at VALEMMiCHfans.com.

Fighting Fish Discovery
The other night I came across a shocking discovery in the plot of Val Emmich’s movie, Fighting Fish. As much as I’d love to share with all two of you (LOL), I’ll keep it to myself since it’s the root of the main story. I don't want to spoil it for everyone. I must say this, it is startling. There is definitely an interesting twist to it. I did not expect this from the script. Let alone a role that Val Emmich would play. It is far from the eye-candy roles that we are used to seeing him in. With this being said, it makes me want to watch the film that much more. Much kudos to Val for taking on a different and challenging role. Now, I understand why Val mentions that he considers himself an actor after taking on this film. It’s only a matter of time of WHEN do we get to see this awesome film and great talent. To read the synopsis and to view more production stills visit valemmichfans.
